The Super Secret 750

Last October we rebuilt our 42 WLA and went racing at The Race of Gentlemen in Wildwood, NJ. We could not have had a better time. It is a brilliant event that you need to attend. The latest issue of Greasy Kulture has a nice feature on the bike and the race if you want to read more about it. We had so much fun at the race it got us thinking, “if we race more… we will have more fun! Brilliant!” At the same time we were wondering what the 45 would look like if Harley Davidson keep developing it. I think that is when Jay said, “Hey ya kooks! Day just made a new one. What ya say if we was to race dat?”  “Ya know, that is a pretty good idea” I said. “We could Flat Track, Endurance race and even try for a land Speed Record…  Ok, lets get one and see what we can do with it. One thing, you guys CAN NOT tell my Wife! If I get one more bike, I’m gonna be sleeping on the couch for the rest of my life.” Welcome to The Super Secret 750 project.

We went down to Bergen County Harley Davidson and picked up a bone stock 2015 Street 750, a shop manual and got to work. To say that this project is outside my comfort zone would be a massive understatement. Fuel injection. Water cooling. So many wires!! Still, I have high hopes! There is a ton of work to do so no time for doubt! The first thing we will be addressing is the overall design, ride hight and suspension. We will be posting about the project regularly here on the site and Hot Bike Magazine will be printing a series of tech articles on the project as well. Wish us luck!
